Don McLean and Nick graduated from Iona College in 1968.  Nick enjoyed listening to him strumming his guitar and singing on campus or at a pub across the street from the school.  "American Pie" is a classic and symbolizes not only the end of Rock and Roll but also the end of innocence.  For better or worse, society changed and so did we...These were the good old days...
